World Press Freedom Day

Screenshot 2019-05-02 at 12.32.04I have been working on a media reform project in Ethiopia co ordinated by Fojo Media Institute  based in Sweden and Ethiopian communications company Nubia Media. Ethiopian journalists and bloggers have experienced some of the worst kinds of repression and censorship over the years but with the reforms instituted by new Prime Minister Abiy, there is a refreshing feeling of hope. I was asked to edit a booklet comprising reflections, tips and tools on media reform which will be launched at the Unesco World Press Freedom Day event in Addis Ababa on Thursday 2 May. Here is the English e-publishing version for you to view and read. Ethiopia: Reflections on Media ReformScreenshot 2019-05-02 at 12.32.22
